The Ozark Heritage Welcome Center is located at 2999 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in West Plains, Missouri . The Southern Missouri Home Builder's Association realized the economic impact that tourism has on an economy and decided to build the information center and donate it to the community. Since opening in April 1997, the Center has tracked over 100,000 visitors. The Center provides free maps, brochures and vacation planners for West Plains, the surrounding region and other states. Other services include a RV dump station, picnic tables, free coffee, soda machines, and clean restrooms. The welcome center is now an affiliate of the State.

•Educates the general public as to the advantages of utilizing licensed builders
•Promotes professionalism in the homebuilding industry
•Promotes economic development & quality of life in Southern Missouri
