The Southern Missouri Home Builders Association organized the efforts to make the Galloway Nature Park a reality. The park is located within the city limits of West Plains on County Road 1770, not far off Highway 63 north. With funding from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and labor and materials provided by members of the association the park was made possible.
The Galloway Nature Park preserves the natural habitat of many plants and animals, native to the Ozarks of Southern Missouri, while giving visitors a pleasant area to walk, enjoy nature, and picnic.
