Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative has been a vendor in the Home and Garden Show, hosted by the

Southern Missouri Home Builders Association, since its inception. The Home and Garden show is our best

marketing and advertising investment of the year. We view the show as an opportunity to meet current and future members of the cooperative. Every year, we have the opportunity to speak with families face to face to help them with their energy needs. We answer questions about a host of topics including electrical safety, water heater, heating and air-conditioning, electrical surge protection, electrical engineering, generation of electricity, storm restoration and energy efficiency. Members of our cooperative appear to enjoy meeting us face to face as well, having the unique experience of putting a face with a name or a face with a voice. We see people in our office every year that learned of a value-added product or service, offered by the cooperative, at the Home and Garden Show.

We hear quite often from our members about what do I get from the home show? This happened a few years ago, I had a customer call me an said that he had talked to me approximately 3 years earlier about Andersen windows for their house they was building now. I did remember him, made an appointment with them, and sold a house of windows plus miscellaneous things on their house. Therefore, I have always said it is very hard to say that you did not get anything from the show all the time... I have had others also but never 3 yrs old.
